recent study made public has found elevated levels of potentially harmful chemicals called phthalates in the urine of 80% of infants who had recently been shampooed, powdered or lotioned with baby products. Manufacturers are not required to label cosmetics, making it difficult to know if you're using a product containing phthalates, which are banned from use in personal care products some countries.
One way of being sure that you are using products that do not contain phthalates is by natural or organic baby products, or ones that are labeled "phthalate free". Pure Baby Joy offers bath and body products for baby and the entire family that are made from all natural and organic ingredients and are phthalate free.
