A recent study made public has found elevated levels of potentially harmful chemicals called phthalates in the urine of 80% of infants who had recently been shampooed, powdered or lotioned with baby products. Manufacturers are not required to label cosmetics, making it difficult to know if you're using a product containing phthalates, which are banned from use in personal care products some countries.
